Denim Dry Erase Board

Denim Dry Erase Board

"Is there any more room for me In those jeans"

- Ginuwine "In Those Jeans" (2003)

Unfortunately, no there isn't any room for me let alone anyone else. LOL. But I had a great way to salvage my jeans.  I decided to use them as a background to a dry erase board.

  • A picture frame
  • Fabric of your choice
  • Glue Gun
  • Spray Paint (Optional)

First, I spray-painted the frame a really pretty copper color.

Next, I cut my jeans into pieces and then arranged them on the cardboard backing that was inside the picture frame. I think used a hot glue gun to secure the pieces. I then put the backing into the picture frame. Make sure your material isn't too thick or it will be difficult to secure the backing into the picture frame. Now it's time to hang and write on it!

Once I finished the project, I had some leftover denim. So I decided to recover this Ikea stool. Find your own here

Lessons Learned:

  • Test the surface of the picture frame, to make sure the spray paint works.
  • Make sure your markers work on the actual insert in the frame, whether it's glass, plastic or another material.
