"Got ya girl tip-toein' on my marble floors..."
- Rick Ross "Marble Floors" (2013)
There are no marble floors around here, but there's no denying that expensive swirly limestone can glam up any space. I used marble contact paper to add some opulence to a catchall tray.
- Marble Contact Paper
- An Exacto Knife
- A Tray of Your Choice
I found this tray near the trash can (don't judge) and assumed it was once a paper tray. I figured the curves on one end of the box would give me trouble.
First, measure the tray and compare it to the contact paper. Cut the contact paper and begin peeling off the paper backing. Next, stick the contact paper onto the tray.
Keep going until the tray is completely covered.
- The paper tears easily.
- Choose a tray with no curves. The paper is almost vinyl in texture and is hard to bend.
